Visiting the Geniemuseum
Discover the history of the Regiment of Engineers (Regiment Genietroepen) in Vught. Explore how bridge-building, water management, peacekeeping missions and explosive ordnance disposal come together in a world of technology and dedication. The Geniemuseum shows how history is shaped by people who think, act and dare.

Opening hours
The museum is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 to 16:00.
Closing days
In exceptional circumstances — such as operational situations or private events — the museum may be temporarily closed. These closures will be announced in advance on our website.
One such closure is scheduled for Thursday, 16 October 2025.
The museum is also closed on national holidays that fall on an opening day:

Visitors who go to both the Geniemuseum and the “Bevrijdende Vleugels” museum in Best receive a discount at the second location (standard admission only):

Accessibility
By car or bicycle The museum is easily accessible by car and bicycle. About 16 parking spaces are available. Please note: there is no separate disabled parking.
By public transport From ’s-Hertogenbosch railway station, take regional bus line 207 to the “Kazerne” stop. Please check current timetables before travelling.
Check-in upon arrival
The museum is located on an active military site. Please report to the reception desk inside the museum building and purchase your ticket there. This allows us to welcome you properly and ensures your presence is registered. Without check-in, the gate guard may ask you to leave the premises.
Photography and filming
Photography and filming are permitted in the museum building, the PMC-NBr building and the Genie Garden.

Guided tours – one museum, two stories
The Geniemuseum consists of two distinct museum areas, each with its own story. Together they form a whole, but each offers a unique perspective on military engineering, cooperation and history. Guided tours are available by appointment.
Museum and Genie Garden

PMC-NBr building
This Cold War-era bunker was built in 1981 as the headquarters of the Provincial Military Command of North Brabant. Since 2021, it has been part of the Geniemuseum. Here we share the story of the signal troops who were once stationed here.

Dog policy
Dogs are generally not allowed in the museum. We do make exceptions for:

Guide dogs for visitors with visual, auditory or mobility impairments

PTSD assistance dogs for veterans with a recognised post-traumatic stress disorder
Assistance dogs are welcome in the museum and museum café. Please notify reception so we can ensure a warm welcome.
